Dr. Courtney Pellerin grew up near New Orleans, LA. Ask anyone in her family and they’ll tell you that her love for animals started when she dressed up as a veterinarian for career day in 1st grade. Since that day, she spent her time working with multiple animal rescues, volunteering at the local aquarium, and even traveling to Australia to study wildlife conservation. She is a proud Auburn University grad with a Bachelor’s of Science in Zoology with a minor in Animal Science. She received her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from Louisiana State University. Her special interests in veterinary medicine include preventative care and client education, ultrasonography, dentistry, and nutrition. She is also an active member of AVMA and Fear-Free Certified. She has a furbaby of her own, a lab/ blue heeler mix named Calypso. She was rescued while Dr. Pellerin was in vet school performing relief work during a flood in Baton Rouge, LA. In her free time, Dr. Pellerin loves to watch sports (especially football), go to Disneyworld, whip up some new recipes, or explore her new city with her husband and dog.
