Dr. Jason Salpietra, DVM

Dr. Jason Salpietra, DVM

Born and raised in Shreveport, Louisiana, Dr. Jason Salpietra always had a strong bond with animals. From his family’s assortment of dogs over the years to the first dog he raised on his own at age 20, Dr. Salpietra felt he could learn from them and wanted to help better their lives. Uncertain which professional direction to choose, he decided to travel across the United States for inspiration. It was during his travels that Dr. Salpietra’s passion for veterinary medicine reignited, and realized the role best suited for him to help better the lives of pets and their humans would be for him to pursue a career in veterinary medicine.

With the support of family and loved ones, Dr. Salpietra rearranged his life to move back to Louisiana and studied hard during his undergrad at Bossier Parish Community College to fast track his road to graduate school. This hard work paid off and he was accepted into Louisiana State University’s School of Veterinary Medicine, where he graduated in May of 2021. His first couple of years out of vet school were spent working at South Buffalo Springs Animal Hospital in Las Vegas, NV where he learned from and worked with some of the best in the field. In 2023 he decided to move to Tampa to continue doing what he loves with the added benefit of being closer to family.
